Terms of Use
These terms apply to everyone who visits tibetanevents.com or submits an event to it. By using the site you agree to them.
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. What this site is
tibetanevents.com is a free, volunteer-run calendar of Tibetan events worldwide, together with articles about Tibetan culture and current affairs. Listings are free for every organizer. We do not sell tickets, take payments or earn commissions from any event.
Tibetan Events Worldwide (tibetanevents.com) is a volunteer initiative with team members in Switzerland and the United States, made for Tibetans and friends of Tibet everywhere in the world. It is not a registered organisation or company. Contact: info@tibetanevents.com.
2. Events are organised by others
Every event on this site is organised by a third party, not by us. Dates, places, prices and programmes come from the organizers and their posters. We check listings before publishing, but we cannot guarantee that an event takes place as announced. Please confirm details with the organizer, especially before travelling or buying tickets.
Links to ticket shops, registration forms, maps and organizer websites lead to services we do not control. Any purchase or registration is a contract between you and that provider.
3. Submitting an event
When you submit an event or send us a poster you confirm that:
- the information is accurate and you are allowed to publish it;
- you own the poster and photos or have permission to use them, including photos of guests;
- the event does not promote violence, hatred, discrimination or illegal activity.
You keep all rights to your poster and texts. You give us a free, worldwide licence to show them on tibetanevents.com, in our calendar feeds and on our social media channels to promote the event. We may edit listings for clarity, correct obvious errors, or decline or remove a listing at any time without giving a reason.
4. Our content
Articles, texts, the Tibetan calendar and the design of this site belong to Tibetan Events Worldwide unless stated otherwise. You may share links freely and quote short passages with a link back to the source. Please ask before republishing whole articles. Photos in the Understand Tibet section carry their own credits and licences, which are shown next to each photo.
5. No liability
We run this site as volunteers and provide it as it is. We are not liable for cancelled or changed events, for the content of linked websites, for losses arising from your use of the site, or for temporary unavailability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Changes and complaints
We may update these terms at any time; the current version is always on this page. If you have a complaint, write to us first and we will try to sort it out by email. The consumer protection rules of your own country always apply and are not limited by these terms.
